Chanelle Mann
Chanelle Mann is a Legal Assistant within the Wills and Probate Department at Cocks Lloyd. A recent LLB Law graduate, Chanelle is currently advancing her professional qualifications by undertaking the Solicitors Qualifying Examinations (SQE) alongside her role at the firm. Prior to joining Cocks Lloyd, she developed a strong foundation in Wills and Private Client law with a heavy focus on client care. In her previous experience, she specialised in supporting client matters and maintaining direct, transparent communication to ensure individuals remained informed throughout every stage of the legal process.
In her current role, Chanelle provides essential support to the Wills and Probate team, working closely with fee-earners to ensure every matter progresses efficiently. She assists with the administration of a wide range of private client matters, including estate administration, probate, and the preparation of Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney. Known for her organised and proactive approach, she manages correspondence with clients and third parties and supports solicitors throughout the entire lifecycle of each matter.
Chanelle’s passion for this speciality stems from the client-focused nature of the work, which allows her to build meaningful relationships and provide guidance during sensitive and often difficult times. She is committed to delivering a professional, approachable, and compassionate service, recognising the importance of providing reassurance and attention to detail when handling personal legal affairs.
Her career highlights include being selected for a year-long mentorship with a legal professional at PwC, where she gained deep insights into high-level legal practice. She has also demonstrated a strong commitment to the community through pro bono work, supporting individuals in court proceedings involving sensitive family and children’s matters. Furthermore, Chanelle gained an international perspective on the law by shadowing a criminal defence barrister in Canada, an experience that contributed to her well-rounded foundation and dedication to her legal career.
Outside the office, Chanelle stays active at the gym and has a keen interest in fashion and art. she finds joy in expressing herself through various creative pursuits and maintains a balanced lifestyle through these hobbies.
