Licensing
The office has a designated Licensing Department dealing with all aspects of liquor
licensing and gambling.
The Department is headed by Graham Hargreaves, a Consultant with the Firm. Graham
has 40 years’ experience in this area of law.
Graham is assisted by Katrina Kimberley who has been with the Department for 25
years.
The Department made a conscious decision to gear itself to deal with the sweeping
changes in licensing legislation brought about by the Licensing Act 2003 and the
Gambling Act 2005 and it now operates the largest licensing department in the area.
In relation to liquor licensing, the Firm acts for pubs, clubs, restaurants and
off licences and also for individuals wishing to object to new Licences or seek
revocation or variation of existing Licences and will give advice to any individuals
in relation to new Licences or existing Licences.
In relation to gambling, the Firm deals with applications for Betting Office Licences,
Premises Licences and all aspects of gaming and gambling on club premises.
For advice on any aspect of liquor or gambling licensing the first point of contact
should be:
